May 19, 2017: False 911 Call Leads to Drug Seizure and Arrest

On Tuesday, May, 16, 2017, Trevor Jarrett, 26 years old of Frame, called Metro 911 saying he thought someone had overdosed him or injected him with Narcan.  He also stated he had smoked marijuana.  He was near a relative’s house on River Drive in the Elkview area of Kanawha County.

Medical crews with the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority first responded.  They found Mr. Jarrett intoxicated claiming the people who lived nearby drugged him.  He sat on the ambulance and refused to move.

Deputy Sheriffs arrived to assist and spoke to Mr. Jarrett and neighbors.  Mr. Jarrett had a duffel bag near him.  Inside deputies found a trash bag filled with marijuana inside a pillow case.  The marijauna weighed almost four pounds.

Mr. Jarrett was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Attached is a picture of the seized drug and a mugshot of Mr. Jarrett.  As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Jarrett is merely an accusation.  He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
