Special Units

Unique situations demand exceptional responses.

Within the Law Enforcement Division of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office are several special units.  Natural abilities, individual knowledge, drive, and special skills are supplemented with extensive training to make each team member highly capable in his/her field.  Some units operate full-time, while others are activated as needed.  The dedicated Deputy Sheriffs of these units strive to be the best operators they can on every call as they serve Kanawha County.
