On the afternoon of Saturday, March 11, 2017 Deputy M. A. Lonsinger was dispatched by Metro 911 to a stabbing in the parking lot of the Walmart store at Quincy.  The victim, Andrew Stevens, suffered a cut to his left hand during a fight with Jimmy Dewayne Keith (21 of Pond Gap, WV).  During what began as a fist-fight Mr. Keith produced a knife cutting Mr. Stevens before fleeing the area.

During the course of the investigation a warrant was obtained for Mr. Keith charging him with malicious wounding.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office at 304-357-0169.  Tips can be emailed to warrants@kanawhasheriff.us; or submitted anonymously through our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.

As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Keith is merely an accusation.  He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
