Warrants

The warrants searched on this website only include those in possession of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.  Many warrants for people living in cities within Kanawha County are in the possession of city police departments.

Reasonable efforts are made to keep the active warrant listing up to date.  The lists shown here are not updated on weekends or holidays.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office divides the county geographically into five patrol areas.  The St. Albans area consists of the communities bordering St. Albans, along Coal River Road, and Corridor G.  The Cross Lanes area is made up Cross Lanes, Institute, and the outlying areas of Dunbar and Nitro.  The Sissonville area is the area of Kanawha County along Sissonville Drive and I-77, north of Charleston.  The Elkview area follows the Elk River and I-79 north of Charleston, and contains Mink Shoals, Pinch, Quick, and the area surrounding Clendenin.  The East End or Quincy area (where the Sheriff’s Office detachment is located) contains the communities of the Upper Kanawha River Valley east  and south of Charleston.
