Arrest Made

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office has charged 33-year-old Andrew Ryan Nomar of Rand in connection with the armed robbery that occurred on April 19 at the Dollar General in Rand, West Virginia.

Witnesses at the scene reported suspicious behavior, which prompted an investigation led by Deputy Shamblin and members of the Criminal Investigative Section. During the investigation, forensic analysis confirmed that Nomar’s fingerprints were present on the note used to demand money during the robbery.

Nomar is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail on unrelated charges. He now faces an additional felony robbery charge stemming from this case.
