Arrest Made in High Speed Pursuit

Kanawha County, WV – Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the West Virginia State Police, arrested Christopher Allen Holloway, 59, of Lansing, Michigan, following a high-speed pursuit late Monday night.
The incident began when the Charleston Police Department issued a BOLO for a Ford F-250 that had been driving the wrong way on a one-way street and nearly struck a Charleston Police cruiser. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver—later identified as Holloway—fled outside the city limits.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office took over the pursuit, which ended when Holloway lost control of the vehicle and crashed near the 76-mile marker on the West Virginia Turnpike. He was entrapped in the wreckage and later extricated by emergency responders. Holloway was treated at CAMC General Hospital for minor injuries before being released into the custody of Sheriff’s deputies.
Both the Charleston Police Department and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office filed separate warrants on Mr. Holloway for Fleeing w/ Reckless Indifference. He was transported to South Central Regional Jail to await arraignment in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
Through the investigation, it was learned that Holloway is currently on parole in the State of Michigan after serving 14 years in prison in the State of Virginia. He may possibly face parole violation charges in Michigan as a result of this incident.
