Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Cruiser
On November 7, 2025, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Kanawha Terrace and Walnut Street in St. Albans. One of the vehicles involved was a Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office cruiser.
The deputy driving the cruiser was not injured. The driver of the other vehicle reported minor injuries and was transported from the scene by medics for evaluation.
Preliminary investigation, including witness statements and video evidence, indicates that the other vehicle ran a red light in front of the deputy’s cruiser. The deputy’s vehicle had been traveling eastbound on Kanawha Terrace, while the other vehicle was traveling south on Walnut Street through the intersection when the collision occurred.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
