Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Rocky Fork Road

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 7100 block of Rocky Fork Road in the Sissonville area at 4:00pm on November 19, 2025.

Metro Communications received the initial report from another driver as well as an Apple crash notification alert.

Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle was traveling from Sissonville toward Cross Lanes when it drifted into the left lane, then sharply corrected back into its lane of travel. The vehicle then exited the roadway, went into a ravine, landed on its side, and struck a tree.

The 17-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Deputies, firefighters, and EMS personnel responded and remained on scene for the investigation.
