Timothy “Big Hurt” Jones Arrested Following Joint Operation

On January 29, 2026, members of the United States Marshals Service, in coordination with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, served an arrest warrant at a residence located at 367 Upper Drive in Handley, West Virginia.

The warrant was for Timothy Jones, also known as “Big Hurt,” on one count of Kidnapping and one count of Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on August 12, 2025.

Jones had previously been featured in the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Wanted Wednesday series on August 20, 2025, and had been actively avoiding law enforcement since that time.

When law enforcement attempted to make contact, Jones fled the scene on a four-wheeler, which he later wrecked. He then attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended by officers and taken into custody.

During the operation, a stolen side-by-side ATV, reported stolen out of Fayette County, was located at the scene and recovered by law enforcement.

Jones is currently receiving medical treatment and will be arraigned at a later date. Additional charges are pending, and further investigation is ongoing into Mr. Jones and the residence.

Anybody that is arrested is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
