PURSUIT ON GREENBRIER STREET ENDS IN DUI ARREST
On February 12, 2026 at 3:46pm, Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a female slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle for approximately 45 minutes while parked at a gas pump at the Go-Mart located at the intersection of Greenbrier Street and Rutledge Road in Charleston, WV.
The driver was later identified as Rebecca Marie Bosley, 41, of Maryland, currently residing in Elkview, West Virginia.
Detective Keadle, who was in the area on an unrelated investigation, responded to the scene and was able to wake the driver. Upon making contact, Detective Keadle observed Bosley holding burnt aluminum foil. When asked to hand over the foil, Bosley attempted to conceal it inside her purse.
As Detective Keadle reached toward the purse, a dog inside the vehicle became aggressive, causing the detective to back away.
Bosley then started the vehicle and fled the scene. She was subsequently stopped a short time later near the FedEx location on Greenbrier Street with the assistance of other Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
After being read her Miranda Rights, Bosley admitted to using heroin and methamphetamine earlier in the day.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of needles, drug paraphernalia and a baggie containing a crystallized white substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Bosley was charged with felony Fleeing while DUI.
The Kanawha County Humane Officer responded to the scene and took custody of the dog that was inside the vehicle.
Anybody that is arrested is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
