MAN SHOT IN FACE ON COAL RIVER ROAD
SAINT ALBANS, WV – On February 23, 2026, at approximately 9:11 p.m., deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 12000 block of Coal River Road in Saint Albans, WV.
Upon arrival, deputies located one adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was conscious, alert, and able to speak with deputies on scene. He was also able to walk to the awaiting ambulance and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known at this time.
The male suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. Deputies secured the area and began an investigation into the incident. Detectives are actively working to identify and locate the individual responsible.
