Kenneth Dale Allen AKA Smokey has been arrested

PUTNAM CO, WV – On February 24, 2026, through continued investigative efforts and coordinated police work, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division, US Marshals Taskforce and Detective Alford located and apprehended Kenneth Dale Allen, also known as “Smokey,” at Cedar Grove Farm off Heizer Creek.

Allen was taken into custody without incident and transported to Putnam County Magistrate Court, where he was arraigned on the criminal charge of Malicious Wounding. A bond of $100,000 cash was set.

Following arraignment, Allen was transported to Western Regional Jail, where he remains incarcerated.

Anybody that is arrested is to be presumed innocent  until proven guilty in a court of law.
