We’re proud to recognize Deputy McGuire for the kind of work that doesn’t always make headlines, but absolutely matters.

After an elderly woman’s home was broken into, Deputy McGuire and Cpl. Dubiel responded and made her a promise: they would work to get her property back and hold the person responsible accountable. And they did exactly that.

They stayed on it. They followed through. And they showed not just the victim, but her entire neighborhood, that they cared.

It’s one thing to take a report. It’s another to make a promise and keep it.

We’re proud of both Deputy McGuire and the entire Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. This is the work ethic our deputies bring every day to the citizens we serve.
