National RX Tack Back Day
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the DEA for National RX Take Back Day this Saturday, April 25, 2026.
If you have unused or expired prescription medications, you can dispose of them safely and anonymously.
Drop-off time is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at all KCSO detachments:
• Elkview – 1078 Main St.
• Sissonville – 6817 ½ Sissonville Dr.
• Quincy – 2700 East Dupont Ave.
• Cross Lanes – 903 Cross Lanes Dr.
• St. Albans – 6809 Ohio Ave.

Accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid prescription forms.

Syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs will not be accepted.

Liquid medications must remain sealed in their original containers.
