National Dog Day

At the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, our K-9s are more than just four-legged members of the team. They are highly trained partners who work alongside our deputies every day to help keep our community safe.

From tracking and locating people to detecting narcotics and assisting during critical incidents, these K-9s bring an incredible level of skill, loyalty and dedication to the job.

Same mission. Different breeds.

Meet Bingo, Riley, Ruben, Bill, Josie, Whisky, Bailee and Jett — eight K-9s with one mission: helping make a stronger, safer Kanawha County.

We’re proud of every one of them and grateful for the deputies who train, work and care for these incredible partners.
