VEHICLE BREAK-IN INVESTIGATION – CROSS LANES

CROSS LANES, WV – On August 31, 2026, deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office investigated multiple vehicle break-ins in the Cross Lanes area.

The investigation began after deputies responded to a reported vehicle break-in on Kel-Dawn Circle. As the investigation continued, deputies developed Jesse Wayne Reynolds as a possible suspect in several recent vehicle break-ins.

B-Shift Deputies later located Reynolds at a residence on Drexel Place, where he was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

During the investigation, deputies recovered property believed to have been stolen from multiple vehicles, including wallets, identification cards, credit/debit cards, vehicle documents, Apple AirPods, and other personal property. The recovered property was connected to vehicle break-ins on Kel-Dawn Circle, Keith Drive, and Alpine Drive.

As a result of the investigation, criminal complaints are being filed against Reynolds in connection with the vehicle break-ins.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. He is currently incarcerated at the South Central Regional Jail on three separate bonds on outstanding warrants.

This is still an active and ongoing investigation and more charges may be pending.

Anybody that is arrested is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
