Bicycle Tips

Ride the same direction as traffic, not against it.

Obey all traffic laws and lane markings.

Yield to traffic when appropriate.

STAY ALERT!!!

Parents should consider having their children carefully, and considerately, ride on sidewalks instead of on the street.  They should stop at every intersection and wait for a safe time to cross streets.  Riding on the sidewalk can keep children from more dangerous situations they may encounter during street travel.  However, all riders must be courteous to pedestrians, especially when sharing a sidewalk.

Consider adding a headlight, taillight, and mirror to your bicycle.

ALWAYS wear a helmet!

Wear brightly colored clothes, especially at night.
